MY JOB

I serve as the Campus Pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Orangeburg, SC. Cornerstone is a culturally relevant, and ethnically diverse church in the heart of small town America. AND…am in the starting stages of planting Mainstream, a life-giving church coming to the Clover area in 2012.

MY JOURNEY

I graduated from the University of SC with a degree in theatre. My junior year of college, God moved me into a youth ministry position. I spent the next 10 years working with teens. In 2005, I started working at Cornerstone as the Youth Pastor. Two years later, our Lead Pastor asked me to serve as Creative Pastor and, in 2010, moved me again to Campus Pastor. Also in 2010, I graduated from Rockbridge Seminary with my Masters in Ministry Leadership.

I am also a church planter in the making and am a sponge…ready and willing to absorb from those who have gone before.

MY JOY

My #1 joy in life (other than God, of course) is my family. There’s my incredible wife, Tracy, and our two boys, Marc-Anthony & Connor Thayne. I am an AVID lover of the arts, all arts, and try to stay active in the local community theatre. Film and Television are my drugs of choice and I find there is great truth that can be taken if one looks behind the story and into the portrayed human condition.
